Birthday Fun!

This was a fun card to make...stamping, inking, sewing, burlap, lace, metal, chipboard, ribbon, metal and paper flowers. I made it for my dear friend Mel for her birthday. I love the colors and textures!!!!

And then this birthday card screams CINDY! (my other dear sweet friend that I miss so much). She loves Simple Stories papers and she loves bright colorful papers. 

And while you have your papers out designing a card for that someone special, use up the scraps to make an extra one! Cute, fun and simple!

Hello ladies! Yesterday the sister of my very dear friend passed away at the young age of 42 after battling 4 weeks from a very rare fungal lung infection. We so often hear of people being taken from us far too soon, it`s so heart breaking, words cannot express my sadness for my friend and her family.

This has made me realize that life is way too short. Days, weeks, months go by in a heartbeat. Live each day to the fullest! Tell the people who matter to you how much you love them! Hug them! Stop rushing through life! Take time to enjoy the little things life has to offer! Be adventurous! Smile more! Laugh more! Forgive more! Treasure your memories!

As much as I love scrapbooking for the creative outlet because I love working with paper and embellishments, we as scrapbookers are leaving a lasting legacy. Take comfort in the memories that we are creating and sharing for someday we will bring a lot of happiness and joy to those who are looking through our books, reading our stories, smiling over all our photos and remembering all the moments in our lives.

This has also made me realize that my passion for scrapbooking and creating kits is helping so many of you share your memories. Life is busy and we don`t always have the time to create as we should. Over the years I have heard so many wonderful comments from my customers about how my kits have made it a little easier for them to preserve their memories. I am honored to do what I do and I thank you for your continued support!

I have been busy working in my creative workshop this week. I have 4 new Page Kits to share with you. The first one is titled `Unconditional Love`. For those who know me, know that I love vintage....so this page was so much fun to create. Pearl swirl, paper butterflies, metal, flowers and tags...so many tags! It`s definitely one of my favorites. $19.95

Next is Ì Want to Remember This Moment Forever` This kit has a double page layout with a bonus single page! The single layout is titled Your Laugh is the Best Sound I've Ever Heard $18.95

I love the fun colors of this layout and decorative border that was on the side of the pattern paper. It`s titled The Most Beautiful Action in the World is to Love. $15.95

While shopping at the warehouse I stumbled across this forgotten jewel! Who remembers Chatterbox?!!! Before moving from Alberta I purged A LOT of scrapbook paper but Chatterbox was one company that I just could not part with! It is one of my all time favorite paper companies...ever! So I jumped at the chance to create this beautiful page when I came across enough paper and Scrapbook Tiles to create a kit. Combining classic papers with beautiful paper butterflies and flowers created the perfect page! $15.95 

And I have two kits to re-share with you. These kits sold out sooooo fast!I was fortunate enough to find enough product to make a few more kits. The first one is titled Best Friends

New Page Kits!!!

I apologize for being so far behind in updating my blog. I have so many new Page Kits to tell you about and a new Mini Album Kit!!!

First the Mini Album Kit. The cover title is 'Tell Me a Story'. This Mini Album kit is perfect for a any occasion. It is bursting with beautiful detail incorporating many page flips, folds pockets and tags. The kit comes complete with pictures of each page, easy to follow written step-by-step instructions and all the the product needed to complete the project (except tools, adhesive and foam squares). All of the paper are pre-cut and clipped section by section. 

The chipboard album cover is 7" x 4 1/2" and 1 1/2" thick with the inside pages measuring 3 3/4" x 6". The album is the Tim Holtz Worn Cover with the book binder ring. The collection used is the Teresa Collins Summer Stories papers and embellishments and Prima Marketing flowers. 

There are 5 sets of pages inside each with a tri-fold flipper so you can add 30+ photos. The album is designed with pattern paper, lace, paper doily, flowers, pins, string, tags and chipboard. There is seam binding ribbon tied around the album so you can more ribbon to the spine.

Crafting with Chloe

It's been awhile since Chloe and I have made the time to create together. The kids are off school for March break this week so she spent the morning with me. She helped me bag my new kit Cards and Such and then we created this fun tag....can you tell which is mine? Probably not cause she's a natural scrapbooker!!!!

This was such a fun kit to design! As I mentioned last week this kit is a collection of beautifully embellished pieces that can be used for either a card or a scrapbook page. The kit will provide you with all the pieces needed (plus a couple extra to help you in designing a scrapbook page), you simply need to add them to your own page or card and add a title or sentiment (cards, scrapbook pages and titles are not included).
