Remember Always
Hello Bloggers!
Thanks for joining me. Today I am sharing with you a mini album that was created with love and a whole lot of tears! My older brother, at the age of only 49, was tragically killed in a car accident last week. It breaks my heart that he is gone and I will never understand why life can be so unfair, but what is worse is that he was married to the most amazing woman for 18 shorts days. For the first time in his life he was truly happy and loved unconditionally. I created this album for his wife so she can treasure and remember all the good times they had together.

Tim Holtz Inspired Kit!
Hello ladies!
Sorry it's been awhile since I last posted. Between working on the house renos (we're almost done, just finishing work that is time consuming), working at my 'paycheck' job and finally getting outside to do some yard work (as our spring was so wet and cold I couldn't do a thing) I haven't had much time to design in my studio.
I just wanted to pop in and let you know that when I find time I am working on an exciting project - the Tim Holtz Inspired Kit! For those of you who were involved with my store when I designed a Fast and Fabulous kit, this will be similar to that. In the kit you are getting the entire Memorabilia Paper Pad, ephemera package, lots of flowers, twines and embellishments. I have already completed 2 double page layouts and I'm thinking there will be 5-6 more layouts to come.
Because this is such a large kit and there are so many papers and bits and pieces I will be preparing extensive instructions with lots of pictures that I will email to anyone who purchases a kit (like the ones I've shown you here where I'll let you know which papers and diecuts to use). That way I can give you lots of info and photos.
Kits are limited. I have already started a reserve list for customers who are interested in a kit. Please contact me if you're interested.
Thanks! Have s great day!!

Thank you for joining me today! My husband and I recently had a fantastic vacation in Mexico with our dear friends. While there we went on our first camel ride along the beach, what a cool experience!
To create the Mexico word I started playing with Prima ArtAlchemy Acrylic Paint Sparks. They are so easy to use. Simply brush it on and you have instant shimmer! I did the word Mexico with Magical Pond and the top of the palm trees with Fairy Wings. Then I added a bit of Walnut Distress ink on the top of it. I really like how it added some depth to the chipboard piece.
To create the Small Pansy Arrow Border and the Daisy Frame I started by painting the flower with white acrylic paint. You could also use Gesso.
Then I added Barn Door Distress Ink. I then added Magical Pond Sparks paint to the swirls.
Once it dried I found I didn't really like the colour of it so I then added some Distress Glitter with Glue n' Seal over the whole chipboard piece. I love how it changed the colours and added some shimmer.

Update
Update!
Hello ladies! I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. I can't believe that we're almost half way into January, where did 2016 go?!?? Time flies way too fast!
So I must apologize to you for being MIA for the last couple months. Some of you may know that we are doing some major renovations around here. An addition to our house that was suppose to take 4-6 weeks to complete. Plans were finalized the end of September, construction was to start in October....which didn't actually start until November 5th!!! And from there a little bit gets completed and then we wait, little bit more and then we wait...you get where I'm going with this! Then came Christmas and everything halted for over 2 weeks! We're not waiting on the electrician. Ugh!
So because the addition is being built off of my scrapbook studio, my happy place is a complete disaster. A lot of it has been moved into the family room. Bits and pieces are left. Anyone that has ever done renovations knows my pain!
I just can't wait any longer! I've found some paper and embellishments to work with and I'm in my studio trying to create. Let's hope the creative juices can flow amongst this mess!
Wish me luck! I may need it! 😘
